Jennie Demkoff

Jennie Afman Dimkoff is an author and international speaker, whose favorite genre is storytelling!  She has spoken for various arena events, including Heritage Keepers and Time out for Women, and has been privileged to share the platform in ministry Point of Grace, Sandi Patti, Kim Hill, Kathy Trocolli, and Cheri Keaggy, among others. She is the President of Storyline Ministries, Inc., the author and storyteller for Kids’ Time, and serves on the staff of Speak Up With Confidence Seminars with her sister, author Carol Kent, team teaching with both the Original and Advanced Speak Up With Confidence Seminar staff.

Passionate about women’s ministries, Jennie helped establish the annual Cornerstone University Women’s Leadership Conference and assisted in developing the curriculum for the women’s cognate on the seminary level at the Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. She has worked with many women’s ministry leaders around the country, both as a speaker for their organizations, and as a mentor, and encourager. She serves on the Board of Directors of RBC Ministries, is a member of the Board of Trustees for Cornerstone University and the Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and she also serves on the Board of Speak Up for Hope.

A meaningful addition to her speaking schedule has been the frequent opportunity to speak for college audiences for various university events. She has recently spoken for Campus Crusade outreach events at the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, and Michigan State University.

She laughingly admits that “after years of speaking for polite church women at retreats and conferences around the country, it was quite a personal growth experience to speak to young, interactive, mixed gender, audiences that sometimes yelled back at me!  It has been particularly meaningful to have the opportunity to speak to young university women and to challenge them to use their potential for Christ’s Kingdom.”

Married to her best friend, Probate Court Judge Graydon Dimkoff, Jennie is mom to their two grown children, Amber Joy, who is pursuing an MBA at IU, and CPT Josh Dimkoff, a US Army JAG Corps attorney, currently stationed in Iraq.

She has written books for Baker Publishing Group and many stories for numerous publishing houses including NAVPress, Honor Book, Cook Communications and Zondervan.  Her latest book, “Miracles on Hope Hill” will be released by the Howard Division of Simon and Schuster in the fall of 2011. This project is especially meaningful for Jennie because it is a “shared” project with her sister, Carol Kent.  “She’s not just my older sister, you know.  She was my very first friend.  I was born blessed when I got her for a sister!”
